
Molly Verghese
Molly Verghese is the Associate Director of the Hiring Initiative at the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago, where she supports the organization’s work to increase local hiring on Chicago’s South and West Sides. She specifically leads Community Violence Intervention (CVI) candidate hiring, employer engagement, and practice change work.
Prior to joining the Civic Committee, Molly worked for Cara Plus as the Associate Director of Employer Strategy. During her time at Cara, she focused on employer practice change, designed and launched an inclusive employment diagnostic, and led two employer cohorts dedicated to hiring untapped talent. Before this, she has worked in both the public and private sectors with experience as a Talent Strategy Business Partner, change management consultant, clinical counselor, and case manager.
Molly earned her Master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and her Master’s degree in Social Work, Social Policy, and Social Administration at the University of Chicago Crown Family School. She is a licensed social worker and an advocate for advancing comprehensive employment pathways for all.
