
Johnny Wilbon
Johnny Wilbon serves as the Director of Business Ecosystem Programs at the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago. In this capacity, he oversees initiatives to offer essential resources, guidance, and strategic insights to Business Service Organizations both locally and nationally, while developing a sustainable network for the CBOI Business Cohort Program.
He has a seasoned financial banking background, being an executive and respected community leader in Chicago, bringing 25 years of professional experience to his roles. He is known for supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses through financial education and access to capital. Johnny was the Vice President, Business Community Officer at Bank of America, raising awareness and resources for business owners locally and nationally. He led workshops and webinars on benchmarking, AI, cash management, and lending. As national Chairman for Bank of America’s Community Development Financial Institution Ambassador Program, he helped manage a $2.5 billion lending pipeline and guided 150 CDFI Ambassadors in delivering capital education and communications to entrepreneurs and business partners.
Johnny served as a member of the Black Executive Leadership Council, Black Professional Group, board member of The Brookfield Zoo’s King’s Scholarship Program, as well as a committee member of the Cook County Complete Count Census Commission. Johnny currently serves as the Board Chairman for the Greater Auburn Gresham Corporation. Johnny played college football at Trinity International University, majoring in business management.
